Office Policies

Appointments

Your scheduled appointment time has been reserved specifically for you. Our after-school hours are reserved for shorter, check-up type appointments. Our longer appointments are scheduled in the mornings and early afternoons when your child is less tired.

We request at least a 24-hour advance notice if you need to change or cancel your appointment. We are aware that unforeseen events sometimes require missing an appointment. However, after missing your second appointment without providing us with a 24-hour advance notice, you may be charged an additional fee.

Insurance
Our office is committed to helping you maximize your insurance benefits. We are preferred providers for Aetna, Anthem BC/BS, Assurant, Cigna, Delta, Guardian, MetLife, Principal, United Concordia, United Healthcare, Medicaid and CHP+. If your insurance is not listed above, we can bill it for you, but we need to collect at least 20% from you at the first visit.

Parents in Treatment Area

We encourage you to accompany your child to our treatment area for the first visit. This gives Dr. Pauly the opportunity to speak with you about your child’s care, showing you the x-rays taken and pointing out the teeth that need attention. He will then discuss any recommended treatment at that time.

For additional visits involving treatment, we ask that parents remain in our reception area. Exceptions are made if your child is very young; however, most school-aged kids do great by themselves. More importantly, to insure their safety, Dr. Pauly and his assistant need to devote 100% of their attention to your child, which is difficult to do with others present in the treatment area. If you have any concerns with this, please let us know at your first visit.
